Head CoachMichael Reed

My name is Mike Reed and I am the head coach of the REAL STL 06 Boys-Reed Team.  I have 4 years of coaching experience at Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Illinois. At this high school I was the assistant Varsity coach as well as the camp coordinator for the youth developmental program.  In this position I was able to coach at an extremely high level (coming third in state) as well as work with youth to develop them for high school soccer. I also spent one season with the girls side of Real STL, coaching the 08 girls team before moving to the 06 boys.  I am extremely passionate about the game, having played all of my life and into college. My philosophy is grounded in hard work, dedication to the team, and teaching the game by challenging the player’s decision making.  I am Virtus (Protecting God’s Children) certified, have my Coaching F License, am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified for both Children and Adults. I will confer my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2018, and have my National Strength and Conditioning Association “Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist” Certification.
